We stayed at a place called ‘The Farm’ in Thailand — a simple, cozy studio surrounded by vibrant rice fields where you can hear the chickens and farm hands. No kitchen, just a bathtub overlooking the terraces and enough room to relax. It’s the kind of quiet, back-in-time experience that makes you want to stay all day with a drink on the patio.
Temples of Suphan Buri Thailand
We explored the temples of Suphan Buri, including a massive Buddha statue carved entirely out of a mountainside. The intricate details that were once so pronounced have faded over the years, but the vibrant colors and bright atmosphere remain. The monks welcome visitors to help with offerings, and the temple grounds are filled with places to make wishes and prayers.
All the Great Times in Memphis
We spent an unforgettable few days in Memphis, discovering that the real magic is just off the beaten path. Away from Beale Street, we found incredible food, hidden bars, and the perfect golf courses. We stayed in a beautifully renovated older home where everything felt brand new — even the appliances — and cooking dinner in the oven became part of the adventure.
All the wonderful things in Thailand
This was a trip of a lifetime — Thailand’s landscapes were gorgeous, the people incredibly kind, and our money went further than we ever expected. Flying Turkish and Qatar Airways was a highlight in itself, and Bangkok’s airports with their 20-foot ceilings and glass walls made us feel like we’d arrived somewhere extraordinary before we even left the terminal.
